Hannaford Prep is my new obsession
Book friends!!!!! Have you read the Hannaford Prep series? If not, what are you waiting for!?
It has been sooo long since I’ve been so thoroughly engrossed in a book series. I legit cannot stop reading it!! Lips is quickly becoming one of my favorite heroines of all time plus the boys & Avery are growing on me too. I love characters with a lot of depth and development, this series gives a TON of backstory while still keeping mystery and slowly evolving the story. When I tell you you will be enraptured by this book, you will be!! I just finished the 4 book series and have already started on Avery’s spinoff series. Let me just say you need these books in your life!!! They are just so good!
Hannaford Prep is for readers who like academy/bully/high school romances with a badass, takes no shit heroine. The series is not standalone but it reads incredibly fast - this is from a very slow reader 😉. There are some CWs which I will list at the end of this post so you can skip reading them if you prefer not to know ahead of reading. I would also like to note that the characters in this series start off VERY young. More in the CW section.
Something I found incredibly compelling in this series is the friendship between Lips and Avery. They have a very unique bond that is hard to come by in romances or even real life. I truly love when heroines have female friends that stand behind them 100% and vice versa.
As for the heroes (yes, plural 😆), Ash, Harley, & Blaise each bring something to the table which is the fun of the reverse harem trope. Ash is the alpha male with absolute disregard for anyone who isn’t Lips and Avery. Maybe Harley and Blaise too but if either of them cross the girls, Ash would have no hesitation at taking them out. Harley has a past similar to Lips and creates that familiarity that she is drawn too. He is the son of mobsters whom he hates and a past that leaves a lot to be desired. While Ash is surly, Harley has a little more fun love in him while still being an alpha hottie. Lastly, Blaise is the sweet one, the musician and the man that Lips knew through music far before they met in person. She has a deep connection to him and while he can mope about, he still provides some emotion to the group that is needed.
I hope I have convinced you to read this book because I am FULLY into this Hannaford world and continuing on with Avery’s HEA. I cannot wait to see what the Ice Queen of Mounts Bay gets up to!
