We all love to save money, am I right?? I love having pretty paperbacks lining my shelves but I also only like to buy books that I know I LOVE so I tend to only buy paperbacks after I have read the book. Let me share with you all the ways I like to read on the cheap!
Get a library card!
We all know the library has books… duh! But do y’all know about Hoopla and Libby?? Most libraries offer Hoopla and Libby as part of their library services. They are apps where you can read eBooks, listen to audiobooks, and even check out music and TV shows. I always check here for audiobooks I am interested in to see if they are available. Hoopla is my fave for listening to audiobooks!
Subscribe to Newsletters!
This is BY FAR the way that I find book sales and free books. Most authors have a newsletter you can subscribe to and they typically share news on their book releases but they also share SALES!! & FREE BOOKS!! & SOMETIMES GIVEAWAYS! I probably get an email with a free book or news on a book sale nearly every day in my email. On top of author newsletters, check out book club newsletters. These usually are a monthly free book and most of them are themed (billionaires, dark romance, etc.) Here are some of my favorites:
Subscribe to your favorite authors newsletters
Subscribe to your favorite bloggers - including me!
Billionaire Book Boyfriend - Monthly Free Book
Romance Read of the Month - Monthly Free Book
Paranormal Romantic - Monthly Free Book
If you review books, apply to publishers ARC programs & Netgalley
Bookbub
Bookbub is a book deals site where you can find free or cheap eBooks. Bookbub will email you sales for authors that you favorite on the site so you can find deals from your favorite authors.
Chirp Audiobooks
Chirp is another deals site but for audiobooks! You can subscribe to get daily deals in your favorite genres sent to your email.
Audible Add-Ons
Occasionally Audible will have an add-on price for audiobooks that you already have the eBook for that are usually 1/2 the cost of a normal audiobook or an audible credit. This usually works for KU books as well!
Kindle Unlimited
If you read A LOT & many of the books you read are on kindle unlimited, I would recommend subscribing. I wrote a whole post on if KU is worth it which you can read here!
Stuff Your Kindle Day
Usually over 600 free eBooks for one day only!!! This event happens every few months and is hosted by romancebookworms.com. Visit that site to see when the next event is and subscribe to their newsletter!
My Free eBook List
I update this list as often as possible & add any free books I see on Amazon. Double check prices as its only updated periodically!
